They are NEVER picked green and gassed, and they are never grown in hothouses. The tenderness you feel is the juice inside which gives them their flavor! The nutrients and vitamins come from the soil they are grown in and the sweetness comes from the sun.         Our flavorful beefsteaks are handpicked, ripe, and ready to use so please… NEVER REFRIGERATE! Bringing the temperature below 50 degrees will change the flavor and texture of our beefsteaks.         That which gives our tomatoes their wonderful flavor is also what makes them vulnerable to occasionally inconsistencies. WEATHER? It is our best friend and our worst enemy! We have learned to work with nature, not against it, and our reward is tomatoes that?
